The big issue for Liverpool is that they need to undertake a somewhat different approach from what Klopp and Edwards did 4-6 years ago. Back then, they invested in a number of players who were on the up, like Salah, Mane, Firmino and Robertson at affordable prices. The problem is that the older players in the group are now amongst the best players in the world. So you can either go for a similar profile to what you did 6 years ago and have a drop in quality. Or you can go after equivalent players today, and pay out of your nose. Replacing Mane, Salah, Fabinho, Firmino etc will be tough.
Liverpool don't have City resources. They will not keep up this 90 point pace pace as they transition. They'll fall back to around 75-80 points again.
