[font=ReithSans, Arial, Helvetica, freesans, sans-serif][size=small]Was our manager when I first started to follow the club back in the mid-late 70s, and took us to the first of 3 consecutive FA Cup Finals in my fist season as a supporter in 1978 (which was my only opportunity to actually see the team on TV in those days).[/size][/font]
[font=ReithSans, Arial, Helvetica, freesans, sans-serif][size=small]The '79 Final is still a highlight against the other top Cup side of the time, and I recall epic Cup games and replays against both LFC and N Forest during his tenure. For me his tenure ended when the likes of Brady & Stapleton were sold, and we entered a period of uncertainty under various caretakers including Howe until the appointment of GG.[/size][/font]

Same for me Anzac - those 3 Cup Finals and the UEFA Cup Final where Graham Rix missed the decisive penalty were the first 4 games I saw. RIP Terry, and thanks for the memories.

My Mum's greatest ever Arsenal moment was the 1979 cup final. She was a teenager that used to follow Arsenal home and away back then and that Alan Sunderland moment will live with her forever. So, naturally she's sad at the passing of the great Terry Neil. Which makes it even more annoying that the club didn't have the big screen fixed at the stadium on Saturday because I got her tickets to come down with me and she couldn't even see the tribute video the club had put together in memory of one of her childhood heroes. Poor form Arsenal.

I was shocked to hear in the tribute at the stadium that he became Arsenal captain at just 20 years of age and Arsenal manager at 34! Absolutely incredible.

RIP. Like others a little before my time even as a manager but undoubtedly a club legend.

RIP. Also well before my time but my Grandfather who was a lifelong Arsenal fan had stories. I remember him saying in the 1979 final after United equalised he had to go out and walk around the garden as he couldn't handle the tension and missed the winner.
