The play is clear here, tell Jesus if he performs he can have an extension, then clear him off in summer with a subsidised wage to some second rate club holding a couple of winners' medals.

DiabyKungFu to be fire he’s exceeded all our expectations since he’s retuned form injury. Some said we shouldn’t even consider him as a player and he should only play here and there in Carabo Cup. He’s been a welcome addition.

I'm going to table my scorn/insults for rest of the season. I like his attitude, he's a good teammate, and he's on the back of a major injury. Hopefully he can continue to contribute on the field, but at the very least he seems to be very supportive off the field.

I’ve always liked this player. His linkup play was immense yesterday. I’d be fine with him starting a champions league final as things stand. His record in Europe is impressive. This team has really progressed. Jesus as a fallback option is wild. Every position has multiple cover options.

I’m sure this summer, Liverpool and City will spend £500m to match our depth. It’s the reason we are top everywhere

his form has been sound enough that he should be able to secure a move to a decent club after us. i can't see us renewing

Jesus will be 29 at the end of the season. If he were to hold the form we just saw uninjured till the end of this season, we could keep him round for his last year instead of trying to flog him off.

We can't get much of a fee for him once the issue of his £15m 26–27 wage bill is factored into any deal. He mustn't be extended or renewed anywhere near his current wages. Nor can he be treated as the backup in the depth chart given his injury record. He's a problem to move on and a problem if he sticks around.

Burnwinter I think he has to be moving on he doesn't have the consistency or reliability we need for the squad at the top level. We shouldn't get caught in wishful thinking the decision about him should already be made we need goalscorers we can't fill the spaces with players we know cannot serve that purpose for us.

awooga83 Yeah I want Jesus gone myself, but it'll be very difficult to achieve that even if he plays like a £300k per week player for the rest of the season.

Due to his age, his record and only having a year left on his deal, I reckon we'd effectively have to pay half the cost at least of moving him on early.

I think they'll do what they can to move him on. I can see them getting rid of Kai or Vic and to add new players to the squad someone is going to have to go because we are full to capacity.

Don't think we should be offering any contract to him yet. He is playing for a contract and place in the World cup and we need to encourage that, keep him hungry and see how the season goes. IF we want to renew should be at a more realistic salary because he has shown to be very injury prone.
