I don't want him here but that can be true. He was voted by the fans, player of the year..on the team that won the Eredivisie, how can he be barely good enough? Overrated, yeah maybe...but not good enough for the Eredivisie...

Ah, thanks Don and Homesteak, that changes things quite a bit with regards to Gurgen's point. Don't know much about the guy aside from what's been said in here and that twitter thread.

Given how injury prone Tierney and Partey are, Martinez is actually a must signing imo.

Arteta’s future proofing his squad and that’s fine by me.

Plus we need more warriors in the team and this guy seems that type.

Not sure what to make of this... both signings look promising and I love that we improving the technical level of the team.. but we absolutely must get 1st team choices for CM and CF otherwise its stupidity. We are making the right noises with the players we have been linked to, just doesn't mean much until it is done..
