In general, you're underestimating the capacity of groups of interests to negotiate complexity when there's money to be made. That's how the leagues got commercialised, why the Champions League has its present bloated format, how the Premier League happened, how these complex multi-broadcaster TV rights packages happen, how the relegation parachute payments happen, how the sponsorship arrangements happen and territorialise the drinks, kits, stadia, training kits, buses, you name it of every club, and individual star players … the problems, complexities and intricate networks of interests and obstacles in the existing situation are already a testament to how a super league is possible, not impossible.
It'd make a fortune and the upsides would be unthinkably vast, so I reckon it'll eventually happen in some form.
