Grealish is not a clever player, is he.

I don't watch City if I can help it because fuck them, but every time I do it amazes me that his workrate can be this bad in wide areas. Lost them the game against Real Madrid in the spring because he's so shit defensively, and it was the same today.

Going to make a bold prediction and say Haaland will disappoint relative to expectations. I'm getting major Ibrahimovic vibes where he will lack the agility and technical excellence that Guardiola likes in his attackers.

His presence upfront will bring an undesired urgency with early and longer passes being committed and Guardiola will end up rotating him more and more as the season goes on. I predict that Alvarez will be the greater success out of the two.

I haven't seen a second of Haaland for City yet, but I was surprised he chose to go there and work with Guardiola. It doesn't seem a good match to me, but I'm certain Haaland is too good to not bang a shed load of goals in.

grealish and haaland are both untypical pep forwards. I'm surprised either of them ended up at city. wonder if he's trying a different approach to try and nab that elusive champions league, even if the change comes at the cost of the premier league.

My City supporting mates all reckon Grealish was starting to click at the end of last season but I couldn't see it.

However Haaland is a much better player than Grealish and I think he'll bang them in all season without any major slow start or bedding in period.
