Apparently we have Palace away on the Friday night as our opening fixture but not sure how reliable a Gerbil on twitter is.

Anyway, we need to get off to a good start. No more BS like last year or some seasons under Wenger (2011/2012 springs to mind). Let’s get our signings done by end of July latest. Wishful thinking I know.

Premiership will be condensed next season due to WC. Just the one international break in September and then bang WC will start Nov 21st.

Imperative we have a good start and create some momentum. Will be interesting to see the fixtures post our Europa League games as well, hopefully not too many away ones.

We've won only 2 of the last 9 encounters against Palace, none of those wins being at home. Palace apparently haven't won a league game in 2023. Meanwhile we're back to strong starts out the gate and absolutely purring in possession. Jealous of those with tickets for next weekend, the stakes are high.

I thought going to Selhurst Park was an ideal test to start the season (KingslandBarge); this one at home is going to be huge to leave the table in pretty state for the break.

Also the scene of 1 of our worst performances last year and the beginning of the end of our top 4 pursuit having performed so badly, losing Partey and the following 2 games after it.

Don't think I've forgotten that you and your watching habits are the reason our season ended the way it did. Figures everywhere else pandas are lucky charms and only we get the version that curses you with bad luck

Next season either stay away from our matches or even better watch all of them so we lose enough to get rid of Arteta.

5) Notts Forrest home
6) Chelsea away

3 away games but at least two of them are in London.

I am not accepting responsibiliy for the way our season ended though. That's all on the players and manager. Even some of the matches I missed we lost!

IF we complete the rebuild and are fit for purpose we have a chance to make a string start to the season. If not it will likely be lower position on the table and fewer points than the season just ended.

Read a comment on Le Grove where he says our points total last season was good enough for 3rd place in the 3 preceeding seasons, and the objective we are looking at this summer is making up an extra 10 points on last season. IMO this is akin to falling into the same trap as seen under AW where he would set out the target for the season based upon the points and final standings of the previous season. Whilst 79 points is higher than the average re top4, TH are just as likely as us to convert their draws into wins.

If anything Spurs are m9re likely to make up those extra points than we are considering their forwards. We on the other hand will continue to slog through games hoping we nick a win from a 0-0.

Spurs have/had a shoddy squad with 2 stars. Its a lot easier to sort out the squad with solid players than to add the goals Son and Kane bring. We really lack players on that level, especially in terms of goal scoring. How many times did they look flat this season but Son or Kane dragged them to a win with a single moment? We need a couple of players like that. Alexis Sanchez type players.
