I'd take him over Jesus perhaps, but Scamacca isn't that good and I don't think he'll ever be anything more than a decent player. It's a really bad transfer if we're looking to add quality and not just fill out the squad.

The English don’t usually move around either but that doesn’t mean they won’t do well in other leagues, just look at Abrahams and Tomori in Serie A.

Yeah, plenty of britons have moved to Bundesliga lately too and done well for themselves.

I think the idea of certain nationalities not travelling well is one of those things that only appears to be true up until the point when it gets thoroughly disproven. I remember people used to say all the time that Spaniards mostly flopped in Premier League too when we bought Reyes and brought through Cesc. That idea didn't age well once the good ones started coming over from La Liga.

If Barella moved to England he'd be one of the best midfielders in the country. The reason Scamacca would be an unlikely success isn't that he's Italian but that he's a bit average.

scamacca, the new italian zlatan they say huh...he's far from that. I guess they say that about him simply because he's fall and he got decent dribbling skills. his first touch is closer to like lukaku lol.

he definitely broke out this year, but feel that he's still raw in his game, inconsistent, and can be undisciplined. i can see him taking a bit of time to adjust and there would be groans and frustrations over what was paid for him.
