The discussions around individual players is misguided. Players like White, Ødegaard, Smith-Rowe, Nketiah, Martinelli and even someone like Saka need a proper team, structure and style around them. They are not good enough or experienced enough to play well on their own when the team is static and there is no real movement or pace on and off the ball. That is why their performances vary wildly. There is no consistency to this team and how they play. Sometimes Saka will do something brilliant, but you can't build a team around individual brilliance. It is far too demanding on the individual player. You can't rely on individual players to regularly create something out of nothing. You need systems and actual tactics that help players and make it easier for them to excel.
