Seeing as I won the Chelsea game with my Match day thread, I will do it again.
Another big game, another one we have to win. We are missing Partey and Tierney, Tomiyasu might make it 😆 . Cavani, Greenwood, Pogba and Shaw are missing for United. Fred is doubtful.

They are shit and in bad form, but it's not like that means anything, we can beat anyone but also lose to anyone, we just don't care about form or league table.

I would go with 3 at the back again, no way we stay competitive in the middle if we do not play like that. Lucky for us Pogba is out, Fred is shit and also might be out and the scottish lad is also shit, so we might just dominate the middle for once.

Ronaldo will score so we need about 3 goals to win this one.

Fred's been in better form recently, it's good news for us if he's out, without him and Pogba we should dominate the midfield even without Partey. Greenwood being an absolute piece of shit along with Cavani being out also bodes well, Ronaldo is the only one who is a better goalscorer than any of our lads right now, and he'll do fuck all outside the box.

Their defense is absolutely terrible, so we should score two or three, really my only worry is Sancho, he'll eat our backup fullbacks alive, so hopefully Tomiyasu is finally back for this. If he is, I'm confident we'll smash them. If he isn't, I'm still confident, but it'll probably be hard work. Hopefully the boys aren't too tired after a midweek game, I'm a bit worried about Odegaard. I'd be tempted to play Martinelli instead of ESR for this and bring on the latter for Odegaard around the hour mark, their defense won't be able to handle the energy and speed Nketiah and Martinelli would provide.

United, apart from Ronaldo, are on the beach. It would be a travesty if we don't win this.

Fred being out would be good, he's easily been their best player in recent weeks, not that it's saying much.

Hopefylly Tomi is back. Might be lacking fitness but I can't imagine Sancho giving him too many problems. It would allow us to field a more recognisable line-up. I'm torn on the rest of the line-up. On one hand Gabi and fit and fresh, on the other hand ESR is not only a goalscorer but a big game goalscorer too. Would play Marti up top but I'm not sure you can drop Eddie after his performance in mid week.

Once less day's rest than them but they're hauling it early morning for the lunchtime kickoff.
Not sure any need to mention Greenwood; dudes out indefinitely for being a dirtbag. Cavani just isn't utilized even if he is fit either. They've got what they want up front available as far as I see it.

I wouldn't 'expect' any set amount of goals from us. We had scored 1 goal in 3 games against shit opposition and only took advantage of Chelsea stupidity (whilst having enough of our own, but ultimately less than them). We should still have enough to win, but Ronaldo is kinda the wild card. He may or may not play due to his tragic personal issue (and I feel bad for him on that front). That said, IF he plays, it could go one of two ways. Either he will have no focus and be invisible or play out of his skin for his lost child. Really just depends.

That said, the team is probably buzzing after the win at Chelsea, so lets hope that belief carries us through.

In normal circumstances I'd expect Ronaldo to tear us apart but as USA says who knows whether he'll play or how his tragic loss will effect him. Either way he's suffered the worst possible loss and I have nothing but sympathy for him.

He's still on their payroll, United said he's just suspended for the duration of the legal matter to be cleared either way. Also Manchester police and the CPS are still in discussions and are about to announce shortly whether he'll be charged or not, wouldn't bank on him being away for good.

At the very least he's a PR nightmare now. He wont play for United again.

I think it was inevitable, I really rate him personally, he's what Reiss-Nelson could have become (he might yet make it mind). Part of me is actually glad it's working out for him now, I've developed a bit of a soft spot for him and Rashford after that penalty shootout and the way they were abused afterwards. They both need to get out of that shithole asap though, or I'll hate them in no time, maybe as soon as tomorrow 😆

Cedric in for Holding, only change from the game against Chelsea. Not a fan of Elneny playing again and it's a shame Tomiyasu won't start, but I'd rather not rush him.
