You can make some excuses today: we had injuries, Forster saved some stuff that maybe a lesser keeper wouldn't have, margins were against us, etc. But at the end of the day we needed a big reaction against some of the biggest ass-suckers in the league (and probably Europe at large); a team so hopeless that they lost by tennis numbers just a week ago. And not only do we not get that reaction - we go and lose the fucking game.
I don't know who's chiefly to blame, and I don't really care, but days like this make it so obvious that we haven't managed to change the club culture at all. The seasons keep changing and Arsenal stays the same. It's the same old weak mentality, the same old attitude problems. The only difference is that nowadays we have also managed to kneecap our attack. The one thing we excelled at has been scorched from the club. We're a team without any strengths, and that's much worse than being a flawed team.
We looked to be fully on Southampton's level today, and that makes me both ashamed and sad.
