I'd rather we leave him out in that case so he doesn't get worse and ends up having a 22/23 that is as injury-ridden as last season was for him.
This is Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove anyway, not Chelsea and Liverpool. Your whole bloody team can't fall apart just because one midfielder goes missing. We have to do better.
