Yeah, was thinking maybe Xhaka to LB. Worry about the defensive implications of that though. Switching to a 442 might be with a shot though, hopefully give us a bit more control.

Why aren't we bypassing it? Thats what we spent £30m on Ramsdale for, start going long.

My point is that I don't believe this performance is wildly different from what we see week in, week out. The margins are regularly quite fine, we don't convert enough chances and make mistakes at the back. Today we're getting punished.

I disagree with that. We played much better than this 80% of the time this season. We have been completed dominated, out passed out pressed and out tactic today. Zero intensity, zero chances created.

Palace is a tough place to come but this performance is more than disappointing.

It's in difficult games like this that you look to your "technical creator" to do something in crowded areas, just to let us turn and face their goal for a moment. But Odegaard's first touch has been really poor.

Think it was Qwiss earlier who suggested moving Saka to leftback and putting on Marty. It might be worth a punt. Or maybe throw on Holding and move Gabriel out left, it would let us keep our best attacking player in the attack. No idea if it will work but we need to try to address the defensive issues somehow.

Need to recompose. The pressure and physicality has us rattled. Back four, Tavares and Gabriel in particular, have killed us.
