Crystal Palace away on Monday will be the first fixture of the last phase and most important and critical part of the season. Final 10 games here we go.

According to Arteta’s presser:

Saka has recovered from ‘covid’ and should be good to start
Ramsdale is a doubt
Tomi is back in training but is 50-50 for this game

We play last this weekend so the pressure will be on either way. Palace will be tough, they have a good record at home this season and are on form. They have so many tricky nimble players that could do us damage. Quite physical too and their home fans are very active throughout the game, night game as well so will be even tougher plus we don’t have a good Monday night record this season so far.

Therefore, I think this is one of our hardest games left so a win here would be amazing.

I would play the same team as we did v Liverpool at home. Would save Tomi for Brighton and beyond if he is still not 100 percent.

We won at Palace last year with a last min Martinelli goal so hopefully more of the same this time around.

Disagree. Leicester been shit this season and Newcastle whilst a slight revival have lost their last few games plus both our rivals playing at home.

Glad Arsenal is back, there's not enough proper football at the moment.

You have to admire what Paddy's been achieving at Palace, he's a serious manager.

The UK press landed him with a reputation for being a tower of emotion but from his earliest days at Arsenal he was always one of the smartest, best spoken players around.

I'm surprised how fast Paddy manage to instill his brand of football and also how fast he got his new signings integrated. Not easy for a club who hasn't been known to be attractive

Never rated him as a manager but what he is doing at Palace is impressive

Exactly, so just the typ of opponents United and Spurs have been dropping points against the whole season. Didn't know both of them are at home tho, that makes a little bit harder. But one can hope.

Seems like Zaha is a 50-50 for the game, according to Viera.

The guy is blessed with as much charisma off the pitch as he had on it, I think … big smiles in his interviews about how he's doing, stature in the game, as well as intelligence and clear communication.

I remember seeing an Arsenal interview with him on telly way back in the Double season or just after, and noting how thoughtful and insightful he was compared to our English players of that era. He had a few bumpy moments during his Arsenal career, but he's never been short on passion or craft.

Vieira hasn't been given Arteta's dream situation on entry into management, but there's nothing wrong with paying your dues. He's just doing his job by making Palace somewhat competitive, but I hope he earns some recognition there and has the opportunity to move on to bigger things in the future. He's an urbane guy who could probably manage in any league in Europe.

Vieira was always a very serious professional, just didn't really get that recognition because of his hard tackling and combative spirit.

Still we should win this game. We are the better side, Palace are solid but regularly look good and still manage to lose. Thats a quality issue and we are way ahead on that metric.

If we lost this I think it might cause some PTSD from the loss Palace under Emery when we had 4th all but sewn up.

I know where you are coming from but that was slightly different. Emery played a weakened side as he was concentrating on our pending Europa League game (I think Napoli) later that week. The Palace game was also at home which meant the loss was even more shocking.

This Mon we are going to go all in for this game and give it our best shot.

Leicester just lost Ndidi too, think they'll ship quite a few goals. Spurs game looks straightforward too, Newcastles new found form is mainly at St' James Park. Our games definitely the toughest of the 3.

it was also the day Mustafi reached new levels of haplessness. Embarassed us the way Maguire does for the Mancs every week now.

There you are right. It certainly won't be easy away at a solid Palace team. Also, if we get three points we're only 2 behind Chelsea. That's huge considering how the season started. Adds additional pressure too tho. Big game on monday and I believe it will be tricky for us.
But I was sure United and Spurs will continue dropping stupid points til the end of the season. They are just not that good. Especially United.

Well United are out of the Top 4 race. They are poor.

Its us or Spurs, both are in form teams, they have a piss poor schedule but we have 2 games in hand(both away, both hard games to win but still)...and we have to play Spurs away. So I think they are favorites to get it.. Winning away at Palace would be a big step for us. We have a lot of aways games left, so any win is huge, very excited about tonight.

There is pressure but even if we finish 5th we’ll improve massively next season - youngsters developing physically with more experience and there are so many options out there to improve our attack and midfield.
