I don't see Arteta using Martinelli centraly yet. He'll go with what he sees as the safe option with Laca for now. Although I would really like to see that front three. It is a bit of a risk at this point in the season.
Hopefully we get a goal in the first 45 minutes. If we manage that, I really don't see us losing. The longer the game goes without scoring the trickier it will get with the way Wolves set up. Writing this I do sound a bit like Michael Owen tho, but I'll leave it for the bantz.
Laca will start. He does a good job of banging into defenders and keeping them busy, setting things up to be a bit easier in the second half for attackers with fresh legs to take advantage. That's his main task. Goals or assists are just a bonus.

Either could flourish on the left or take on duties in the centre at different stages. Since we don't quite have an ideal option centrally, it seems we're freer to experiment. It's not clear how benching Lacazette would affect the dressing room though, the youngsters do seem to appreciate him.

I don't think benching Laca would affect them at all. They're used to it and have been able to keep focus with much bigger drama going on.
Laca is the one player I would consider changing (bar the return of Tomi). I'd actually like to give Eddie a couple of games before I moved onto putting Martinelli up top, although if we are going to the latter now is as good as time as any.
Same team as weve had last few weeks. Martinelli back in ESR not even on the bench
Ramsdale Cedric White Gabriel Tierney Partey Xhaka Saka Ode Martinelli Laca
ESR must be injured, that's really too bad.
No clue. Nothing mentioned yet.
Damn, Cedric starting as well. Wasn't Tomi on the bench in the weekend? Should be good to go.
ESR is sick, and Tomi is still dealing with his calf.
Shit news on Emile. Hopefully Marti can get a bit of revenge and keep calm and professional.
Big shame.
Awesome this is on Prime.
Amazon Prime are actually being nice to Arsenal and sticking up for us! Not used to it. Jim Rosenthal more often please!
Tomiyasu starting to feel like a "Rosicky injury".
No new feathers eh. Running it back, same XI from fortnight ago.
Enjoyed that interview with Arteta just now. Spoke well.
Roberto Martinez speaking very, very highly of Arteta, our tactical set-up, and Ødegaard, Saka and Martinelli, particularly the latter.
Too much of a love-in this, we're bound to lose now! 😆

It makes me nervous when they talk us up.
We had no problems yesterday and suddenly Tomi and ESR are out?

We need a rotational right back of a higher standard than Cedric next season. I'm in two minds on Tavares on the left but it's crucial we have good back up full backs if we are back in Europe Doubly so if we make the top 4.
