Can’t comment on Isak has never seen him play but Toney and Watkins are very average. Not Arsenal level esp Watkins who can hardly score.

Unlike Vlahovic, I've seen a lot of Isak and I rate him very highly. I agree with Klaus, I think there's a world class player in there, even my old man could see it when he was at Dortmund, he kept complaining how stupid they were for not playing him. He's the kind of guy who'll need the right manager to put it all together though, and 90 million is a stupid amount of money even if we had prime Wenger on the sidelines. I'd personally be ecstatic if we signed him, after Tierney, Partey and Odegaard he'd be the next player I used to sign in FIFA all the time, but it'd be a high risk signing, and the pricetag probably wouldn't help Isak. Then again, it's the Kroenke's money so who gives a shit really.

isak doesnt seem that great.

this team needs an out and out number 9 who can play centrally with his back to goal and finish the chances that are placed on a platter in front of him.

we basically need a young, more mobile version of what giroud was. a prime pre-horrific injury eduardo. we have the young wide players capable of creating that magic and the cutback into the box. we need the striker who can finish with both feet and isnt a zero in the air.

I really like Isak and I'd be happy to sign him but I don't think he'll solve a lot of our problems. As Md says what our style requires is a big strong CF who can receive long balls and hold it up to bring others into play.

does he have any exceptional qualities? whatever pace he has will be wasted here, as we play slow, boring sideways ball in attack.

is he a lethal finisher? good in the air? just doesnt feel like what we need.

not to mention, if he looks at arteta the wrong way, he'll be exiled. £90m or whatever seems like a huge risk

On searching, I've seen a few articles that his release clause wasn't increased when he renewed last summer, and is still at £60m.

If he can be convinced to leave mid-season, I'd just pay the release clause and get him here. Even if it is, as most reports suggest, £75m and not £60m. He's one of the best striking talents on the planet. He might be a little rough around the edges, but with that speed, technique and dribbling he'd be glorious to watch every week.

Interesting. Never seen this kid play but on the surface he looks a bit ‘mr nice guy’ Theo Walcott.

Is he a killer Ricky? Also, which current or past player does he resemble the most? (Please don’t say Theo)

I'd defer to Klaus on this - he knows his game inside out and back to front.

But from my point of view, I wouldn't say he is a killer, at least not yet, and I would say he's something between Adebayor and the great man, Henry, in terms of resembling former Arsenal players.

He's not like little Walcott though, check out his performance and celebration at the Bernabeu to see he has a confidence and cockiness to him that Theo never had:

Bear in mind, he's only 19, or maybe he's just turned 20 there. I don't see him as an elite finisher right now, and I think the stats bear that out, but I think his speed, technique, dribbling, and athleticism are absolutely elite. And he will get strionger as he adds muscle to his 6'4 frame. It's whether that last part, the finishing, suddenly clicks or not. If it does... wow! He'd be a one man wrecking crew.
