Positive energy straying into manic energy at times there tbh. Martinelli, Tierney, Odegaard and maybe Gabriel are the only ones playing with cool heads. ESR, Laca and to a lesser extent Saka have been bystanders. ESR in particular needs to get on the ball an awful lot more if playing at 10.

So annoying that Liverpool got a soft goal out of nowhere. I don't think they had much of a hope of scoring otherwise. Now they're just wasting time and playing keep ball. We need to up the tempo and press higher.

Tomiyasu has had a mare and it's cost us. Don't blame him at all after the injury and no training, but hopefully he and a few others grow into the game.

A very annoying half because I feel we are better than them tonight, but it's not quite happened for us. Yet.

Lacas returned to his level now that he's nailed down his place. No way shoukd he get a new deal.

If we can get Partey on at some point, I would and push Odegaard further fwd into the 10. Not a huge fan of ESR there, he is always looking to make runs so we dont have control of that area which seems to be why we are pretty slow in the attack.

Different challenge tonight. We've been good under Arteta trying to focus on defence. This one is the aspect of the game we haven't always been as effective or comfortable at. Need to be able to show something this half going forwards against one is the bigger teams.
