That was a remarkably shit way to spend my Sunday evening. Pretty much every one was horrible, but I'm especially disappointed in Holding and Cedric, two experienced players who are supposed to come in and provide some stability and both played like they were drunk. Harsh on Tavares to be singled out in the first half.
I'm also not gonna go and blame Lokonga or Patino, yes they were shit as well, but if the rest of the team plays like this I won't single out a baby like Patino for not playing well in his first start. And while I don't want to make any excuses for the players today, they should have won this game no matter the circumstances, tactics, etc., I do think Arteta's policy of barely rotating his players hurt us here, everyone who came in to the first 11 looked rusty as fuck. And if your midfield's gonna consist of Lokonga and Patino the minute Xhaka is unavailable, you secure a replacement before letting AMN go.
