I know a few Brighton fans, and they think the fee is because of the season starting today and the little time they have to get a replacement, but it really is shocking. It scared off City who are used to paying big money for full backs.
As for Fofana, I love him, and had we been stupid and sold Saliba, he would have been my choice to replace him, but £85mil? 😆😆
Premier league teams need a reset. A guy who plays well, then gets injured for some time, and has never had a full season where you can say he was world class or even Leicester lynchpin, is going for £85mil shows how distorted the market is.
