Happy for the Dubs, happy for Steph to finally get finals MVP, happy for Klay after his 3 year journey in the wilderness.
Funny series. Throughout, my gut feeling was that Boston is the better team. Bigger, stronger, more athletic, excellent defensively. Very rarely do you see such a clear cut correlation as with Boston and turnovers.
Wiggins was awesome throughout the playoffs, and especially in the finals. Jhrue Holiday is probably the best perimeter defender in the league, but I doubt Tatum or Brown have had a more difficult time with anyone than they had with Wiggins. Such a big reason for the Dubs' winning.
Think Celtics shot themselves in the foot a bit too, and Udoka has to take the main responsibility there in my book. Wonderful season overall for him and the Celtics, especially in the second half of the season, but his inexperience shone through in the finals. The drop coverage on Curry throughout looks like a mistake to me. He also couldn't device a counter to the Warriors forcing Brown and Tatum going left, right into the help defense. Wiggins' and Green's on ball defense, the impact of GP2, the overall defense of the Warriors - that's what forced so many of the Celtic turnovers which has proven to be the whole ballgame for the Celtics.
Couldn't be happier for the Dubs. Steph is an absolute legend.
