Well it's a beautiful sunny new year's day, come on Arsenal, don't ruin it. I don't expect us to win, but putting up a good fight and giving us a nice football match to watch will do.

And I do have to mention that I personally think it's ridiculous that Auba's still not back in the squad. It's not like we have a wealth of attacking players on there in the first place, two actually. Maybe he can sneak on with Arteta being in quarantine.

That's probably our best XI, so no excuses. The scoreline is secondary to the performance though, for me. We have to give them a game!

Strong team, probably about as strong as we could get (Xhaka aside). Need to put in a performance, and if we can get a result, even better.

Rio making a point about having to take a risk by leaving players forward - I couldn't agree more. Biggest mistake we take in these games is that the wide players end up dropping so deep depriving us of the option to counter. Need to be brave.

It's outrageous. He's banished for being late back from visiting his sick mother.

I do too. When teams' winning runs come to an end they sometimes have a near-miss before the decisive result. There are signs that City may be approaching a slip-up; they weren't great against Brentford.

I think city are going to win easily, because of our poor CM's, but I hope I'm wrong.

My worry is they'll play the sort positonal football we are still learning much better than we will, and we'll be reduced to 30% of the ball and counter-attacks. They could have Pep at left back in that scenario and it probably wouldn't matter too much.

Anyway, let's see what we can do. Come on Arsenal!
