......and this is what they say

Best manager ever?

  1. Sir Alex Ferguson 26%
  2. Jock Stein 20%
  3. Bob Paisley 13%
  4. Jose Mourinho 7%
  5. Sir Matt Busby 7%
  6. Bill Shankly 7%
  7. Pep Guardiola or Carlo Ancelotti 7%

Greatest ever player in Barclays Premier League history?

  1. Ryan Giggs 47%
  2. Eric Cantona 27%
  3. Alan Shearer 13%
  4. Steven Gerrard 7%
  5. Thierry Henry 6%

How many of the managers did they ask?
Just Pulis and Moyes?!
Gerrard ahead of Henry?

I know these polls should be taken lightly but still....:hmm:

From a sample of 20 people, how do you get percentages like 6, 7, 13 and so on?

Funniest/saddest thing I've seen for a while. Reminds me why I don't read the crap in the papers.

πŸ˜† Fuck me sideways, has there ever been a player whose reputation has grown this much with age?

Bergkamp and Scholes are ahead of everyone on that list bar Henry.

Steven Gerrard ahead of Thierry Henry! πŸ˜†

Gerrard is the most overrated player of his generation. Can't stand him.

1.2 managers thought Henry was the best ever PL player.

Hadn't even thought about that so amused was I by the results of the poll.

I see many of them would have chosen to be pilots if they had not been football managers πŸ˜†

Could have been Allardyce if they did the survey before he was sacked.

πŸ™‚
or a combination of Allardyce 0.7 of a manager and Pulis 0.5.

'tis quite the amusing list... Giggs at #1 says it all.. Henry at #5 furthers that point.. Bergkamp not being there at all cements it

add the fact that they think Pep Guardiola is in the top 7 managers of ALL TIME.. πŸ˜ƒ

I love their list of alternative to football manager careers too

  1. Recruitment
  2. Pilot
  3. Accountant
  4. Unhappy
  5. A three-handicap golfer
  6. Youth coach
  7. Bank director
  8. Politician
  9. Businessman
  10. Toolmaker
  11. Teacher
  12. Football coach
  13. Don’t know
  14. Less stressed/out of work
  15. Retired

'Arry would probably be the dodgy accountant?
I think Mick MacCarthy might be the toolmaker.
Wenger the bank director?
Ferguson would just be an unhappy misery.
