We haven't been coached to beat teams with style, we sure have learned to scrap and win ugly. That might just help us in the run in along with fresh legs. We will definitely see a barren brief spell but as long as we can be motivated, 4th is very much on. If we had another viable center forward option I would have said we are favorites. Given Chelsea's exertions, even 3rd is very possible.

Except we can kiss top4 goodbye if he gets injured, but more about his linking play than his goals, or lack thereof (although he still should have scored that chance from Martinelli).

It's a shame we're so short in midfield and upfront because this is a great opportunity for top 4 but have a horrible feeling we will fall short. Hopefully not to Spurs.

I don't think we'd miss Laca much. He was great for a few games when he came in but I really don't think there'd a noticeable drop off without him now. Its not like he actually creates or scores a lot. Might even be better off with Eddie up top.

538 model currently has us at 54% chance to finish in UCL spots, with United at 15% and Spurs at 14%.

We have almost no games so fatigue certainly won't be a problem, but it'll still come down to whether important players get injured in my opinion. As soon as we miss a few of our first XI we look so much worse. In midfield especially we can't afford any injuries.

Greenwood being out for Utd is perhaps bigger than we expected at the time. A true quality player missing for them.

Zouma incident surely will having a negative impact on West Ham.

These things will have an impact on our top 4 rivals for sure.

Far too early to say yet but we have a massive opportunity. We get CL that transforms our summer signings and the club going forward. Need to go on a winning run like we did earlier in the season, win 5/6 games on the trot and a gap will appear. I fear we are as inconsistent as the teams around us though.

Arteta has a much slimmer squad now, the alleged troublemakers are gone and we are in one competition. That means plenty of rest and plenty training time between matches. If he can't get this lot playing now he should be gone this summer.

Nailed it to be honest. Great weekend of results.

We're in a good position, but with no signings in the winter window and a thin squad, it feels like we're in one of those space films where the shuttle has to coast on a litre of fuel for half a light year before burning all the gas to dock with the station.

At least you'd currently rather be betting on us than against us.

We have to be favourites for top 4 this season now. We've got the games in hand and everyone else is in terrible form. Its looking like we wont even had to break 70 points to get a CL spot.
