There will be bumps in the road but I do think it is possible and we have a realistic chance. If I said to you after our first 3 games we would be in the top 4 on Xmas day you would have called me a nutter. Without getting overboard it is realistic.
7 reasons imo why I think itβs doable:
1) We have played most of our rivals (bar the London ones) away from home already this season
2) No European distractions
3) Others may have fixture pile ups. As it has been stated many times this week already, points in the bag are better than games in hand.
4) Spurs and Man Utd, arguably our two biggest rivals for top 4, still have new managers who still need to figure out new formations, players they like/dislike, get used to their respective clubs etc
5) Our attack is only going to get better. As weβve seen in last 4 GWβs our attack is starting to gel
6) Our fixtures for the run is pretty good
7) Our top 4 rivals are all in Europe meaning more games for them and more fatigue/potential points dropped in the league
To get top 4 essentially a year early would be massive for the club. Imagine the likes of Martinelli, Odegaard, Saka, Saliba, ESR and hopefully our new number 9 playing in Europeβs top competition. They would thrive and it would act as an insurance policy against losing them to other teams in the summer.
You think we can or is this too much of a pipe dream?
