As things stand this match looks like it's going to go ahead with neither club reporting any COVID cases. Leeds are missing 8-9 players through injury and suspension though.

With several other games being cancelled, it will give us the chance to go 4 points clear of 5th if it does, and I like the look of that regardless of what the matches played column says.

I'd start ESR for this one, I would say for any of the three but Saka and Martinelli seem to be playing too well to rotate, otherwise I'd leave it unchanged, Xhaka and all. Auba still not available.

We should win this really, they're blunt up top and leaky at the back, should be looking to win this comfortably.

I'm going for a 2-0 win.

I'll probably start ESR over Odegaard if it were my decision. Maybe Saka could do with a rest. I'd keep Martinelli going now, though. Foolish to drop a guy like him if the goals are coming.

Depends on how Martinelli is after he hobbled off last week. All things being equal I agree though. We need Martinellis pace and directness as well as his finishing or we risk being quite unbalanced up top. Away from home he's a real threat on the counter too.

i'm a big arteta critic, but if we manage to hold up our end of the deal and get our fixtures in due to immense discipline and accountability in the squad i will give him much props.

How would you know whether the results we achieved are because of the "immense discipline and accountability"? We got to 4th now with Auba starting almost every game.

We play gut wrenching football in attack, we still leak goals on the regular, we're tactically/mentally as brittle as ever and we use a fraction of the talent in our squad. When Arteta changes those visible and tangible factors he deserves props, not for acting the tough disciplinarian with the talented guys in his squad while letting players who've cost us much more off scot free.

Anything could happen with the virus, I don't think Arteta would deserve credit either way. Be great if it somehow helped us into Europe though.

Covid effects also depend on luck, half of the teams that need to delay their matches don't have Covid in their squad. Also, it's not like we didn't have it at the beginning of the season.

Nevertheless, getting points while others delay their matches can prove very valuable.

anything can happen (your opponent has a problem), but if we avoid it then that means lessons were learned from the summer and the team is taking it seriously. we can only hold up our end and if we do i think that's a positive reflection on the team culture.

Don't think it's really up to us, other than the opposition also being at risk as you said already it's not really a matter of accountability since the vaccine doesn't save you from infection. Other than the players going to a mass rave or in the other extreme being completely insulated there's not much anyone can do, maybe that's why Arteta is cleansing the squad of sassy players because with our current batch of kids if he tells them to lock themselves in they'll do it no questions asked.
