We're playing like when you press the "shoot from anywhere" button in Football Manager. Most of our shots have come from the fullbacks.

Tavares is that mid guy from school who has no right getting any girl but shoots his shot so many times he ends up somehow landing a stunner.

ESR finally kicking into gear towards the end, not sure why he spent so much of that first half just passing it back. Saka too though he was already playing quite well anyway.

Need a lot, lot more from Odegaard and Partey and Auba really needs to finish those chances.

but we've had plenty enough shots that if some of those were through balls instead we may have had better shots.

I absolutely feel that we should take the chances for a shot from out the box when it's a good position to do so, but he's taking shots when players are through in the box.

Yeah, Ode doesn't need to hold the ball up he just needs to take more responsibility with his decision making. He's playing it too safe. In his defence, the likes of ESR and Saka seem to have little chemistry with him, they should be bombing forward when he gets the ball but they're a little too static.

That problem is that when the ball gets the AM they are in congested areas and often playing with their back to goal. That suits Laca a lot more than Ode who's much better when he has the game ahead of him and can see everything. I agree its a problem of coaching and the overall balance of the team but you have to ask why then was Ode our main priority this summer if we don't play in a way that gets the best from him? Same goes for Aubas massive contract extension. We have these players but we don't play to their strengths.

Anyway we should still win this match. We need to come out in the second half like we did against Watford and we'll be fine. We may need to get Laca on pretty soon though.

Ødegaard is the type of player that needs to find that rhythm. He's all about timing and precision. He needs starts and 90 minutes, and to find his role in attack.

Well put. Nothing to do with him not being able to do the job he's asked to and everything to do with the job itself being nonsense.
