Masters has been forced to comment on it a few times recently. Unfortunately the same motives that have most of the incumbent PL clubs ready to peg back the likes of City (or of Chelsea and Forest's multi-club structures) leave many (though not all—some are quite aware they could get forced down and never make it back up) of those same clubs are quite ready to vote to fuck over the challengers to their status.

Outside the three that came up this season, Wolves are probably the weakest team in the league and they have the likes of Ait-Nouri, Jaoa Gomes, Cunha etc. in their team. The gap is huge and it's only going to get bigger and bigger over the next few seasons.

Antony has gone on loan to Betis and has 3 goals and an assist in 4 games. He scored 4 goals in his last 1.5 seasons for Man Utd! It will be interesting to see how Rashford does for Villa, I think the club has become toxic. It will take very strong leadership to turn it around. We had with Arteta and the board and upper management all got behind him. They need a similar clear out.

Financial structures definitely help the incumbents, but the standard of operations at these newly established clubs is also really high – the likes of Forest, Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford, Fulham – while the lumbering establishment teams – United, Spurs, West Ham, Everton – have enough talent to stave off relegation. That dynamic won't last forever.
