I don't know, City a couple of years ago would press like mad when they lost the ball and would foul if they couldn't win it back cleanly. It's not as in your face as it was a couple of decades ago but but I reckon you see the competitiveness come through in the very best teams in one form or another.
I think getting those millionaires to give a damn about the team and it's goals rather than themselves is the key. Auba this season vs last is a good example of what I'm talking about, I think there were moments last season where he'd have been sulking internally about his missed chances rather than tracking back to the end of his own penalty area to prevent a shot on goal.
Pogba for France vs Pogba for United is another good example.
