Yeah I keep saying be patient. He was superb when he started, suffered from covid and now back to when he started. It's obvious he is a great signing, probably going to be one of the best this decade. He just has everything in his game as a defender, not much weakness at all.

Hopefully it continues to build his character though. Good to see a lot of our younger players breaking into their respective national sides. Ramsdale (again), ESR, Lokonga and now Gabriel.

Posted this in the Ben White thread but might as well put it here as well. Guy has been getting no love compared to what he is doing on the pitch. Hands down the best defender we have and is literally a brick wall week in week out.

Should be in team of the season by May.

His ability on the ball has always been underrated, I said last season that he was better on the ball than Luiz. Quicker to progress it and get it into central areas.

Noticed at half time he was (seemingly) leading a chat with a lot of the guys in the tunnel too. Looks like a proper leader at the back.

Loved his celebration at the whistle.

Feels great to finally have a proper ball playing centre back pairing, and we have a prodigy to back them up.
