Stuart Mac right on the case with snaps. Will be getting his coaching badges, keeping his fitness up and training with the squad. Even if it turns to nothing for player or club, this is good to hear. However, not sure a press launch was necessary, with emphasis defining the boundaries of his involvement. Kind of hints again at possible oppressive control from the manager.

I was thinking that too. I like Jack but lets not pretend he was a great character that young players should try to emulate.

What happened to the move to Italy that was reported on?

Those guys were a product of their time though, Jack didn't really have that excuse. He definitely feels like a cautionary tale rather than an inspirational one, lad made a few questionable decisions in his time.

I forgot what a fucking meme Wilshere was. We are English we tackle hard my guy sounds disabled.

Still can be a good thing to have him around, let some of the youngers see that all the talent in the world don't mean shit if you're constantly injured because of your bravery (and scum like that Manc paddy). Biggest talent out of England in possibly forever and hes without a job at 29.

Children need role models not professional adults, they shouldn't look to emulate anyone but to learn from advice and errors

This is a pleasing and amusing crossover. Lightweight MMA champ Charles Oliviera bumped an older thread of words of encouragement for Wilshere. This time with a rumor linking Jack with Fortaleza.

Given some holiday speculation about Bruno Guimarâes and Douglas Luiz to Arsenal, I'm doubting a second stint for Jack just at the minute.

I remember another comment he made about the time he was injured v MU, where it had been suggested he may need to rethink his playing style (including a suggestion he may need to release the ball earlier instead of trying to dribble through defenders and inviting them to tackle him), and he said that he wasn't going to change the way he played and was still going to try to make the break with the ball at feet if he thought there was an opportunity (or something similar). I guess we know how that turned out for him.

I'm glad the club makes more cutthroat decisions with the likes of Iwobi and Willock.

We could have got a decent fee for Wilshere some years ago.

Instead we even offered him another extension which he turned down only to be cut loose by a championship club about a couple of years later.

Wenger would have had willock and iwobi here till they were 25 on relatively big contracts going for free.
