What a match!
First half was a cagey affair and I thought Belgium were deservedly leading at half time (although 2-0 flattered them a bit).
Deschamps is one of the biggest cowards out there, he's got the paciest back 4 in Europe and probably the world, but he's too scared to leave any space whatsoever behind his defence. All France had to do in the 2nd half was move the defensive line higher up the pitch, it made it so much easier to press Belgium higher up the pitch and create chances. Contrast that with the 1st half that even when France won the ball they had so much ground to cover before they could get anywhere near the opposition goal.
I've always felt 3 at the back is the way to go for France (PSG should do the same imo), it gives their front 3 so much more freedom and there are signs in the last few matches that they are beginning to click.
Really felt sorry for Belgium but that's football for you.
