I think he might go with Martinelli up top for this one.

Here's how I think we'll line up.

I will be very surprised to see Holding start. Arteta is rigid with these ideas of a left footed player at LCB. Pulisic I read is out for Chelsea.

we've actually handled lukaku well over the years, and I'd tip white to play him well, assuming the team doesn't fall apart around him

Chelsea did slice through us on the break with alarming ease in preseason, so hopefully the brains trust has a plan for that

Actually if we want to stick to a back 4 this might be a very smart way to limit their threat. Chelsea suck up pressure and release quick counter down lines. Our midfield need to protect defence massively.

ESR and Saka as WFs so we can get the ball to stick in the final third. Martinelli up top.

I think if I was going with that I'd leave Tavares out and keep Tierney at LWB. Get Mari into the CBs despite last weeks performance.
