Should appreciate the merit of another goalkeeper's assessment, usually. The amusing thing though is I think Howard was such a low-grade goalkeeper, highly overrated for even midtable. Wouldn't even be surprised if Ramsdale performs at a higher level this season than Howard's norm. I don't live in the US anymore but I suspect as an analyst he should be taken as seriously someone like Alexi Lalas.

If Ramsdale then IMO he's almost certain to start v Norwich and particularly if Arteta feels his job is on the line.

Didn't realise Leno was still part of the Germany squad.
Even so that would make 2 clean sheets for Ramsey in 2 strong performances for the team.

Pickford is his only real competition so he has a very good chance, almost by default.

But the fact that Arteta has statted h straight away says it all. Let's hope he can live up to the high hopes.

I did read the other day that he is the U23 goalkeeper with the most first team appearances of anyone in Europe right now, except fpr Donnarumma. Which sounds like a positive sign.

Very decent stats, in fact.

It's funny that fans reacted with such disdain when we were linked and yet he's right up there with the very best of his age group statistically. And it turns out he's good with his feet too, despite not being able to showcase that much at Bournemouth and Sheffield United. We might have signed a good one here.
