He’s officially back in training today.

Boy do we need him. I think he’s turned legit world class in the last 4 weeks due to his absence in the team!

On a serious note, it’s a major boost to have him back. He has an infectious effect on how we play and set up.

Odegaard winner in the San Siro tomorrow. You heard it here first.

He was world class all of last season. He's also top 20 in the Ballon d'Or.

Saka is the only WC player we got and it’s at a stretch as he hasn’t won anything.

I’m saying Ode feels like he has become World Class because absence makes the heart grow fonder. The more game we lose whilst he is not playing the higher his value gets.

Saliba is not World Class, needs to prove it with France at latter stages of tournaments. His performances for them have been sub par.

He’s been very good at Arsenal but how much of that is down to the system as well? He’s very well protected.

All of these players really need to a) win something and/or prove it at latter stages of international tournaments/CL. Saka gets a pass as he’s proven internationally and prob has the best big game record for us.

Rice is probably our most underrated ‘big’ player - he’s been average this season but last year was immense, has been immense internationally and has lifted a European trophy.

You shouldn’t discredit someone who has captained their team to a cup win for the first time in 43 years. Especially from a fan of a club that has only won the equivalent trophy once in their history.

Rice for me was overall player of the season last year from start to finish.

People said at the start he was a bargain but as the same size went along we overpaid for what we got.

But no complains really he's a quality destroyer

QuincyAbeyie if Solbakken behaves, could be useful. Two 45s for example, might be good warm-up ahead of the Forest game to get him fit.
Problem is I do not trust a single international manager to put clubs first.

        Ffs, he's only just returned

Claudius an assist for Martinelli is not enough poo poo for dules.

Think that’s harsh. His first game back after 2.5 months and manages to complete 90 mins.

He’s mentally and physically very sharp. Our players look up to him as well, arguably most important cog in our machine.

Was it his best game? No, it was never going to be. But he still managed to deliver a very meaningful contribution. And he brings better balance to our midfield and team in general.

Despite being injured for two whole months, Odegaard still leads open chance creation in the premier league in the 2024 calendar year. 62 ahead of 59 for Palmer, 58 Diaz and 55 De Bruyne. He and KDB are exceptional creatives

Claudius you just reminded me what I forgot to say in the Chelsea thread: Palmer ain't all that. Stevie me flat track bully.

@Clrnc, I agree with @Coombs. Palmer is a fantastic player. But look at his stats. They are accumulated against bad teams that Chelsea punish in transition. Against more organized defensive structures, he’s been largely ineffective.

He’s a kid, so I expect him to solve this over time, and as Chelsea’s team matures.
