Spaletti's Napoli continue their perfect to go top of the table with 6 wins from 6. Osihmen is finally putting together consistent performances a season after his big money move.

Juventus won a hard fought 3-2 match against Sampdoria. For some reason, Juve still look very frail defensively unlike a typical Allegri team.

Inter and Atalanta played out a wonderful 2-2 draw. The match was completely open and could have ended up 4-4 or 5-5.

Lazio prevailed by 3-2 in the roman derby. Immobile again showing that he is a different player when playing in the blues of Lazio compared to the blues of Italy.

Osimhen is looking like a monster this season. Plays like Diego Costa 2014 where he just wins every ball and carries it regardless of whether there's a team mate with him or not, now he's also added end product to his game.

I like Osimhem too Jones. He's been tarred by the ridiculous transfer fee they forked out but he looks like a superb talent to me. Fingers crossed he can stay off the injuries.

Pretty much yes.

The actual fee is somewhere in the 40-45 million euro range.

Serie A roundup for the weekend.

Spaletti's Napoli keep on winning as they came from behind to topple Fiorentina (7 from 7 now). However, the match was marred by ugly scenes as Koulibaly, Osihmen and Anguissa were racially abused by the firenze supporters.

Inter were also very good as they came from a goal down to win at Sassuolo. Lautaro is enjoying being the main man and Barrella was excellent once again. Old man Dzeko is also proving to be a good signing.

Juventus won by 1-0 in a tight Turin derby. They were not very good for the most part of the game but got the job done as Allegri's teams typically used to do.

Milan were the big winners as they were excellent in a 3-2 win at Atalanta. It has been a while since some team has gone to Bergamo and dominated Atalanta.

Roma got back to winning ways as they beat Empoli 2-0. Tammy Abraham has very quickly become a fan favorite inRome and is on red hot form right now. He may not have scored but Empoli defense struggled to handle him.

Lazio got back down to earth after last week's win in the Roman derby. They were thoroughly outplayed and beaten by Bologna by 3-0.

Serie A is fun to watch this season, loads of teams with good attackers and dodgy defences.

Also appreciate these roundups vortex, whenever I forget to watch at least the Serie A youtube highlights your posts remind me to do so. Also not sure if it's intended but in my head I always read them with the mechanical FIFA career mode Geoff Shreeves voice.

Yeah I am really enjoying vortex's insights about all the european leagues + womens football + transfers. Youre like the european football show round up.

I am rooting for Napoli this year. Spalletti deserves a league title.

To be honest, our humdrum football and lack of prospects of winning trophies have turned me to watching other leagues/games.

Another matchday and another win for Spaletti's Napoli. Osihmen was very impressive again along with Elmas.
I still do not count them as title favorites as it remains to be seen how they will deal with the AFCON absentees (Koulibaly, Oshimen and Anguissa).

Milan probably played the game of the weekend. They were trailing 2-0 at HT against Hellas Verona but managed to come back and win it 3-2 in the end. The HT subbing IN of Samu Castellejo changed the match. He played out of his skin in the second half.

Big win for Juventus as they beat Roma by 1-0.
There was huge referring controversy in the game - Szecesny had clattered Mkhitaryan for a clear penalty and the loose ball had broken for Abraham for a tap-in. The ref decided to chalk off the goal as he had already blown his whistle for a penalty. Roma ended up missing the penalty.
After looking at replays though, I think Roma should count themselves lucky that a penalty was awarded as the goal would not have stood after VAR inspection because of a clear hand ball by Mkhitaryan in the build up.

A 40 year old Zlatan with the first own goal of his career tonight against Bologna. He also scored one and assisted one. The strike of the match was from Bennacer though.
