I echo this. I noticed Bernd in the heart of the celebration madness at the end against Wolves. Fair play to him. He's a part of the reason Ramsdale's form has been so almost impossibly consistent.

What an idiot. As mentioned in the first post on this thread basically he refused to sign a new deal despite Arteta favouring him over martinez so Arteta went out and got ramsdale. He basically got binned and now signing for a relegation outfit at probably a lower contract. God knows what went on in his head.

Started his Arsenal career well but lost his way a bit in the last year or so. Doesn’t fit Arteta’s style of play and ball-playing requirements from a GK. We’re well covered with Ramsdale, Turner and Hein. Good luck to him.

Disappointed the way this turned out, lost a perfectly good and homegrown Keeper in Martinez while Leno had no intention of staying with us. You can't just blame Leno here, the club has to take some of that blame.

Great shot stopper, he struggled with Aerial balls and his passing wasn't up to scratch but made countless great saves for us.

The fact we replaced him with a shit yank with no upside for the same fee is jarring. No problem with him personally but he's a moron and will probably be looking for a new club after Fulham get relegated next summer.

Sure didn't look it in his cameo. Not sure how sensible it is to get a backup goalie from abroad, just go with some old English warhorse, backup goalie is the kind of position you always go cheap + HG on

Yeah it's quite clear that Arteta with his "you have 90% of being in the starting XI" or some shit like that was not the best way to address a guy who was the best goalkeeper the previous season and it was in an insane form.

Aston Villa fans seem to be very happy with him and feel that they may lose him to a bigger club if they don't get an Europa League position soon. But well, this also for sure was 'progress'
