I definitely don't think he was excellent, but he wasn't struggling physically after the first half an hour or so.
He made two big errors with the ball at his feet and two big errors when he let Barnes in behind him from balls into the box. That's enough mistakes for any game and certainly doesn't qualify as excellent for me.
He did also win a lot of headers, intercepted well, got his head on loads of crosses, and played some good passes. He also stood up well to the Burnley forwards and on balance I think I think he came out on top in the end.
He did look like he was bricking himself from minute one though. So, hopefully he settles down with a few incident free performances. But up next is the North London Derby, so he's needs to be on it.
