In all the excitement of this weekend, no one mentioned Sambi's first PL goal. Been reading good things about him at Luton, wonder if he can be a squad option for us next season?

Biereth also finishes his loan spells with a respectable 15 goals and 9 assists, working out to a goal involvement every 107 minutes.

Don Pacifico he's been in and out with injury quite a bit this season which doesn't really help when trying to sell him. He's been really good when fit though. Not sure he'd be an option for us and TBH I don't want a back up with his injury issues either.

I don't see Sambi being much of an option. He has the athleticism, but not the brains for it. At least from what i have seen.

Mika Biereth scored six times and got five assists on loan at Motherwell, before scoring nine and getting four assists at Sturm Graz, where he also won the Austrian Cup.

Solid season for him. Time to hit League One or the Championship!

Lokonga out for at least 1 month with a hamstring injury

Only just seen that Lokonga got a run-out for Belgium the other day. Hardly the golden generation but a very positive step for him. Hope he can progress this season regardless of whether his career is with us in the longer term.

Clrnc -- what's his role with them been? does he have a defensive leader/partner covering for him?

I always thought he looked useful on ball, and decent in duels. But his off ball awareness and defensive shielding/shape was horrendous.

Yeah, I've always thought he has talent just needs a run of games. Good to hear he's doing well.

He's playing as a pure 10 in a 4231 system. the way Arteta deployed him showed that he doesn't trust him to trigger the press. keeping the shape and recovering the ball are just as important as driving offense.

What are his stats looking like in Portugal so far?

flobaba Started 4 games, got subbed on in 2, was injured for 3. So 6 games, 341 minutes 1 goal and 1 assist. But I'm sure he will pick it up there as the season goes along.
