Or if we play 3 at the back AMN could return to wingback. But with the return of MO, don't think that will happen

If we are playing 3 at the back a lot this season season then you'd have to question wtf has happened this summer.

He's sitting untouched because he can't even train. It's nothing to do with his wage.

It’s well funny that the Scandinavian’s call him Maaar-tin Ooodee Ooodee

That's definitely what I would expect. Do you have any reason to believe it's related to his wages Ricky?

He can train in 2 weeks. Doesn't seem much of a barrier to signing him given the low fee Ajax are demanding. If he's asking for reasonable money, he'd be a bargain.

I've seen a few reports about it, will try and dig them out.

seen a couple of reports that there's a big signing on and agent fee tied to him, so there may be more to it than the low sticker price

Okay, so why pay him to sit at home for two weeks? Or a month? Or six weeks?

Bloke has been caught as a drug cheat, can't play, hasn't played and has one year left on his contract. It's pretty obvious why nobody is signing him and any wage demands will be miles down the list.

Aye, perhaps they're the main reasons. It just seems those problems also present an opportunity to sign a really good keeper for reasonable money that a lot of clubs would jump on. But, also, maybe he has in mind a pre-contract in January, or even waiting for a free next summer, given he can't play until November and will be at the Africa Cup of Nations in February anwyay. Who knows?

One thing we do know - we're not signing him.

He's quite erratic from what I can tell. Not gonna pretend I'm an expert, but I think that accompanied by the aforementioned issues will scare most serious clubs away.

Fits the bill for us though.
