I get not liking the idea of this (though I don’t really get the concept of wanting less access) but I feel like some of the reaction and indignation is a bit precious and snobby, especially from guys like Arseblog.

I couldn't care less what Arseblog has to say about anything. And yeah, extra access to the club would be good, but not a fucking Netflix show.

If the club really cared about giving the fans access they'd have done it through Arsenal Player or something like that.

This is just a money grab, and at £10m, doesn't seem remotely close to being enough to whore yourself out to be even more of a laughing stock.

I think it's messed up that we've agreed to this. There's no inherent value in this type of filmmaking other than exposing the subject to mockery, insult and humiliation. Then again maybe that's the only entertainment we're capable of providing anymore. We seem to have given up on everything else.

What’s the difference where it’s streamed? Thats the other thing, the moral objection to being associated to Amazon. As if these guys boycott their other shows. As for the club looking for commercial and marketing value, I think you’re a little late to modern football party. It’s ugly, but there’s no going back.

As for us being a laughing stock, I’d suggest a) not taking it so seriously and b) not being so insecure, because if you’re looking to the club as source of pride at the moment you’re not going to find it and an Amazon documentary is the very least of the reasons behind it.

I think it's the kroenkes pouting that the super league got blocked, which prevented them from crapping out this kind of 'content' and charging fans for it. this is the next best thing for them to turn a few extra coins

i don't know if it was this series, but i remember liverpool under brendan rogers being on amazon. in like the first episode brendan had a fit because raheem sterling said steady to him. if we can go on to have the kind of success liverpool have had since (and the managerial change to boot) i will be happy.

I think fox bankrolled that liverpool one. the coaches always come across as nutters, even the good ones like guardiola. this is the first time an inexperienced coach is dealing with 24 hours access, hopefully it doesn't add another layer of issues to deal with

I think it's because they limit what can be shown from the more tactical elements, so all you really get to see is the man management/motivational side, hence all you saw from Jose was him repeatedly telling the players to be c**ts.
