If we end up with Odegaard as our new AM the summer will be even worse.
If the choices are Aouar, Odegaard or Maddison at the supposed prices they have been quoted at, give me Odegaard any day. Hell, Aouar at 25M is better value in my mind than Maddison at 70.
Either you go quality and get Maddison or go value and get Aouar, no reason to get Odegaard at all.
Odegaard is very underrated here for some reason. Would be happy with any of those 3, as long as we buy a striker and another CM/RB
Ødegaard and Guimaraes probably wouldn't cost much more than Maddison and fix both the problem of depth in attack and possibly in quality in CM.
To me, a satisfactory outcome for the summer, given where we are now is Gouiri, Guimaraes, Onana. I'd be ok with AMN / Cedric backed by Chambers at RB for a year.
If we are not selling Leno this season we don't need anything more than a cheap experienced 2nd choice for now.
anyone come to mind? It probably doesn't suit the profile our club is after but I'd consider Fraser Forster. Not sure if he's fallen off but caught some really strong appearances from him at Celtic prior to lockdown. Apparently he's rejected a contract renewal with Southampton. Homegrown too.

Odegaard is not on my list either. He's a good player, but I don't like how slow and weak he is, and I think he'll never be much of a goalscorer. I'd rather Smith Rowe at 10, for sure.

Pepe scored more league goals in PL last season than Correa did in Serie A and is almost a year younger. Haven't seen the latter much but what makes you think he'd outscore Pepe?
