Fair fucks to Leicester. They may still lose but they've done well not to succumb to a distinctly average Liverpool side tonight. Most of the time average seems to be enough for Liverpool to walk the points. Been impressed by Matip and Dewsbury-Hall from each side.

If Liverpool draw next weekend and we beat City, we would be 4 points adrift from second place. For the youngest team in the division that was sitting 20th on match day 3, that's quite remarkable.

By the way it's amazing how Leicester with tons of injuries and knackered after a tonking by City barely 48h ago won a fully rested Liverpool team.

Looking at the table though really pisses me off that we bottled against United and Everton. Could have really put United out of the equation completely

Arguably we should have lost to Brighton and Palace so kind evens out.

Anyway, just checked, Man City have beaten us 9 times in a row in the league. We better at least show up on Sat. Will be best time in the season to play them.

I wonder if Liverpool could collapse in a similar way to last season? Few of their guys off to AFCON, potentially out of the title race, heavy schedule. Would be great if they get dragged down into the fight for 4th, but I doubt it.

Sure it ought to be someone like Gallagher ahead of Rice but just haven't watched the former at all.

Agree with most of that but not sure about Mount. Saka has done more than him this season.

Gallagher for Mount, Raphinha for ESR. Dennis too is basically carrying Watford on his own, maybe better than Jota this season?

Yeah didn't feel wholly right putting Mount in there. His stats are great this season, but I think he did pad those in matches already decided against mid table. Can't fully recollect. I'm backing Ødegaard to supersede him by end of season.
Edit: Quincy all three of those suggestions are good shouts. Antonio another consideration instead of Jota.

Jota got a lot of goals but his overall game degenerated at Liverpool, doesn't do much outside of scoring these days back at Pacos and even at Wolves he was a much more well rounded forward.

Dennis definitely deserves a spot ahead of him. He looked like garbage in the Bundesliga, now he has the highest combined G+A in the league bar Salah in a piss poor Watford side.
