The good thing about it is the club do not see anything of the 2.5bn paid to gain ownership via their shares, as it will be frozen and used for charity otherwise it would go to Abramovich if it wasn't for the sanctions.
1.75bn over 10 years is about 175m per year, but whilst this has been 'promised' as investment over the next decade there is no mention of it being used for player transfers. The mention of SB as part of that investment is interesting in that one of the reasons they were looking to build another stadium is they cannot expand SB. Any investment in the stadium is going to cost them a hefty chunk of that 1.75bn, and more so when combined with other infrastructure for the Academy and Women's Team.
Then there is the new UEFA FFP where clubs will only be allowed to spend 70% of revenues, whereas under Abramovich CFC had been allowed to spend 100% of revenues on the team, and he covered any pre-tax operating loss to ensure they met FFP criteria. I'd be surprised if CFC had a lot of money to spend in the coming summer (let alone beyond that), but we should not base our planning and objectives for the team/club on any such assumption.
