Can see Spurs beating Liverpool just like they did City. Hope it doesn't happen but the way Liverpool play is a perfect setup for Kane and Son to counter

This is true. It could play in Spurs hands but it’s one thing doing it in a normal game and another when it’s do or die when the pressure is really on. See CL final 2019 or Carabao Cup final 2021.

There is a reason Spurs don’t win cup finals despite being able to use this tactic against big attacking teams.

If we could choose any team to face Spurs in one of their last decisive games of the season it would be Liverpool.

I agree with that. Liverpool's mentality is cut-throat, Spuds are fragile weaklings. If you play the match 10 times, then Spurs win at least once, and it could end up being their day, but I'd rather they play at Anfield that day than anywhere else.

IIRC they are also the club with the current 2nd longest stay in top flight behind us, since they were promoted in'53-'54.

EDIT - Everton still have a game in hand so it's still in their hands. However Burnley have the easier remaining games as Everton play CFC and LCFC before they play us on the final day, by which time they may already be relegated and we may already have secured top4.

Burnley are in really good form too, unfortunately they now look the more likely to stay up. At least Dyche got sacked and all the people who stuck up for him look like muppets if they don't go down.

8 wins out of 33 for Vieira's Palace. Next season may tell us a lot about him, as their squad has undergone an overhaul, but those numbers are a bit stinky.

8 wins is about what you'd expect from a midtable side at this stage, no? They won 12 games last year but look likely to end up on basically the same amount of points. Add an FA Cup semi-final on top of more flexible football and it has to be one of their best seasons since getting promoted again. I think the expectation is that they're going to build on this.

I don't know, a lot rides on whether or not they can sign Gallagher on a permanent basis, if not he'd be hard to replace.

Beyond playing good football it's near on impossible for the managers of these sides to really progress them much up the table.

Highlights of their game vs Leeds suggest they were unlucky not to grab a win.

They've got a great set of young offensive players in Eze, Olise, and Gallagher. Be interesting if they can keep Gallagher, but they'll be light without him or if Zaha slows down.

As much as those 3 losses have not impacted our ability to achieve top4, I do think they have done so re 3rd as it is no longer in our hands = we need CFC to keep dropping points outside LFC - perhaps Wolves and/or LCFC?
Bottom line we need to gain 7 points from the last 5 games to go above them, as they have a far better GD.

Dallas been stretched off.

Never like to see players get injured but most likely he will be out of our game next week. He is one of Leeds best players.

Burnley got an important win today. We kinda need Everton to grab a win or two before the Spurs Burnley game so the latter are still fighting for something.
