Looks like everything with any sort of connection to Russia is being purged out of Europe at the moment. You can sort of understand UEFA's cancelling of Gazprom because they're state owned, but there others don't really make sense - Eintracht Frankfurt e.g. has cancelled the minor sponsorship it has with the antivirus software company Kaspersky because it hasn't responded fast enough when asked to "distance itself" from Russia's attack on Ukraine. Aldi Lidl etc have banned vodka pelmeny etc from their stores indefinitely, soon people will be asked to step on a Putin portrait before they're allowed to enter the store.
I mean, none of it makes sense unless you take on the reasoning that collectively punishing Russian citizens and businesses owned by Russians or domiciled in Russia helps end this war.
But as far as it goes, sanctioning Abramovich makes a hell of a lot more sense than cancelling college courses on Dostoevsky.
