no idea if this kid is good, but if we end up paying 20m and for a kid coming straight from the Belgian league I'd expect him to be some talent

Yeah Terreur is extremely reliable for Belgian news.

We need to gamble so I don't mind this but it best not be at the expense of a first XI signing. Small-ish fee and low wages.

Let me guess, we won't bother making an acceptable second offer.

Boring club in boring transfer windows.

This would be a good 3rd choice cm signing assuming we’re clearing house and signing two.

This Belgian newspaper is reportedly reliable. We offered 15m euros, they rejected and is holding out for 20m euros.

I have only watched 1 compilation of him and Jones say he is highly rated. He certainly looks impressive.

Minor correction I said he used to be very highly rated before his injury. If he can come back to the level he was projected to reach then 20m is an absolute steal, not a given though with a torn ACL of course.

Some clean, progressive passing there in the posted video. Left footed unlike Bissouma?

Passing was nice in the video but the time and space given in those clips wont be available most weeks in the PL. Plus its a highlight reel, no one clips in Elneny style 5 yard sideways passes to their videos. I liked that some of his passing looks inventive though. Interesting player but if we get him I'd be surprised if he goes straight into the first XI.

If someone wanted to compile Elneny's inventive passing and dribbling/body feint they couldn't though.

I mean he could easily turn out to be Zelalem but I like this kind of cheap high potential signing. Can work out superbly well for us. Anyway if its Lokonga + a first choice CM that will be great, will sort out our CM perfectly.

20m isn't exactly cheap though.

Agreed, Sir. He basically has to come in do what Guendouzi was supposed to do. And we have moved on quickly from Guendouzi after realising he is not the one. And will likely make a profit on him. Some you win, some you lose, but you have to try

I'm sure Elneny would manage  half a dozen good passes a season in the Juliper league too.

That said I agree its the right sort of signing we should make, I just have no real opinion on him either way as I've not watched him for Anderlecht. I guess time will tell.

Yeah, hope it's an inspired signing if we are serious. No idea of how he is off the ball and while defending either.

Looks shit in compilations. Holds on to the ball too long.

From different clips, I really like this signing of it goes through.

Can use both feet, great vision, very good physicality and turn of pace. Good weight on his passes as well.

Obviously the tempo of the prem will take some getting used too, but he seems like a special prospect.

He and Locatelli would be fantastic.

He gets to in that league though. Loads of space. The question is whether he can speed it up for the PL and do it in tighter spaces.
