I think that's true for Germany and Portugal, but not for France. They were basically through after the second match while Switzerland had only one point after two matches.
Yeah but Switzerland just defended the entire match against Italy, hardly broke a sweat. They won against Turkey easily and the Welsh game was like a friendly.
France had to fight for the win against Germany, then faced a spirit Hungary side they couldn't win and that last match against Portugal was crazy in terms of intensity. Deschamps couldn't rotate much. Still, to go out leading 3-1 with 6 minutes to go is just pure retarded.
