Think Deschamps got it wrong right from the beginning, and the rest of the game was making up for the mistake. Ridiculously stupid lineup - Rabiot was playing at LWB ffs. Deserved to lose, Benzema's brilliance notwithstanding.

So is Deschamps getting the sack or is there still enough good will from 2018 to keep him in the job? It's a short turnaround until Qatar and I don't think he gives them the best chance of winning.

Wenger was very critical pre match. He says nobody should change tactics to counter opponents when you have the better team.
