Sterling shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11 on merit
Southgate in being a fucking idiot shocker. Sterling over Grealish is far from outrageous but Trippier over Shaw, Chilwell and even Saka doesn’t make sense.
Croatia rampaging LB Gvardiol will be worth a look. Excellent young player1
I take it Orsic against Spurs isn't close to his usual quality since he's not even on the bench?
England look quite good. Phillips is excellent.
Trippier and Sterling both look excellent as well.
Philips is great. Rather him than Bissouma or Neves

Yep. Liked him since Eddie was there, but he's bossing Brozovic and Modric in the opening period of this game.
Such a poor game. 2 really uninspiring and cautious team
Always liked him. Seemed unpopular around here when we mentioned him in January
And there it is. Sterling 1-0
Philips has been the best player on the pitch
Phillips very good. Sterling is so smart as well. Enjoying this match, good game. Southgate set up to play for once.
Phillips has been great all season.
Sterling proving he's still better than all the hype English players.
Sterling is everywhere. Guy plays as a striker/playmaker/winger/wingback all in one.
Philips is great and has been for a couple of years now. I think it's great he's starting to get the recognition he deserves. Southgate deserves some credit for picking him ahead of the more hyped up talents.

To be fair England barely have any CMs to pick from.

This is Sterling's best game in 12 months. By a long way
What a beautiful goal for Austria
Poor from Bachmann. Watford are going down if they don't upgrade on him, everyone saw him as Austrias biggest weakness
