Indeed. All you need is an account with one of these scouting platforms and you can be a DOF. The hard part of recruiting isn't identifying players, it's fucking paying for them.

Claude, I reckon you would do a better job than Edu. I’m serious. I can’t imagine he would be as meticulous in his analysis as that.

Sounds like BVB / RBL or even the likes of Leverkusen or Frankfurt.

Posted elsewhere the word from the club/Arteta is they expect to do the bulk of their transfer activity AFTER the Euros.

Going for Ødegaard / Buendia and ending up with Calhanoglu. Yeah sounds about right.

Well he was instrumental in getting Milan back in the CL, looked genuinely top class for most of the season. Buendia looks good but hasn't shown anything on that level so far.

Much bigger concern is our interest in Neves

I feel like there's so much hype about all of Milan's players. Zlatan is one of the best strikers in the world, Hernandez is the best LB in Serie A, Kessie and Bennacer are among the best CMs in Serie A, Tonali is the biggest talent from Italy in ages, Calhanoglu is instrumental for them and top class and yet they, along with all the other non-Inter teams, barely scraped a CL spot.

Calhanoglu is the finished article, Buendia has impressed for Norwich, we don’t know his ceiling for a good team yet so if course he hasn't shown what Calhanoglu has but I would rather have that uncertainty in the same way that I'd rather have Ødegaard than Calhanoglu.

Is there really that much hype? Zlatan is Zlatan, a 40 year old has no business being that good of course people will rate him. Hernandez has a shout for being the best LB in the world even, don't think anyone can dispute him being the best in Italy along with Gosens. Kessie has had a massive season, Bennacer looked terrific for them before his injury when they were leading the table. After his injury not so much. Tonali has been a bit disappointing so far. Not sure your argument of them scraping a CL spot works when the race was so tight and Napoli finished 5th with 77 points, that's top 4 in every other league or season they would've finished 2nd in England even.

I get the idea that Buendia is more exciting because his ceiling is unknown but let's not forget that he's just two years younger than Calhanoglu. Buendia has some 60 top flight appearances, Calhanoglu has around 300. Not saying I want us to sign the latter but it's hardly like missing out on Van Persie then signing Bendtner.

The only reason we will be in for Calhanoglu is because he is a free agent and will save us transfer fees.

Never been impressed by Calhanoglu. I watched a lot of Milan's match last year and he is so flakey. Pretty much a set piece and long shot merchant for me.

Agree with the rest of Jones assessment, Theo Hernandez is one of the best LB in the world. It's really insane France didn't call him up. He is much better than his brother at LB.
